raumati Marae Tour
14 December - 18 january
murihiku to muriwhenua
Imagine this!
A truck rocks up to the Marae, filled with band gear, crew, buzzing artists and miles of cables. Over the next few hours, the contents of the truck spill out onto the Marae Ātea, coalescing into a stage surrounded by speakers, bouncy castles, kai stalls, displays and chill areas for our Kaumatua.
People start to gather, spreading picnic blankets and calling out to their tamariki. As the day settles into evening, the audience hushes with anticipation. The band emerges onto the stage, warming up and waving to people in the crowd. ”Mic check, one two one two...”

THE MISH
Creative Nātives brings you the Raumati Marae Tour, a proposed tour of
19 Marae from Murihiku through to Muriwhenua from the 14th of Dec ‘24
to the 18th Jan ‘25.
The Raumati Marae Tour is an opportunity for our whānau and communities to experience high-quality kaupapa music in a whānau friendly space and will feature combinations of: the Creative Nātives Collective, Hāni Dread, Chad Chambers, Monz Te Paea, local artists, and a guest appearance from one of
your own talented rangatahi.
Local organisations with a focus on health and wellbeing will be invited to join us at each show to promote their services, with our artists on-board to promote critical messaging both on their platforms and during the live events.
These shows will be free entry to ensure our whānau can participate without burden. We will be encouraging the use of eco-friendly practices throughout this tour to reduce our impact on Papatūānuku.
HEOI, WE NEED YOUR TAUTOKO TO PULL THIS OFF
We are looking for financial support and will ideally confirm our sponsors by 15 November, and begin promotion 01 December. We’ve already begun conversations…
